Welcome in my small Christmas world !
I hope
that you are comfortably installed with a
good hot chocolate and some handmade biscuits, because I've got a
few surprises for you in my virtual Christmas basket ! It's my
favorite holidays time and I would like to share it with you !

At the hour I
write these pages, it's full in effervescence everywhere to prepare the
Holidays. I live in Alsace in France and here all starts as of the last Sunday of November
(the first Advent Sunday) with the great opening of the
ChristmasMarkets of Mulhouse and Strasbourg and the
illuminations of the commercial streets. Each one walks the arms filled
with gifts while admiring the decorated stores. The air is full of the fragrance of
cinnamon,
hot wine, chestnuts, and waffles...
which are so good
to warm us by this cold weather. The children are playing
on seasonnal iceskating places in the center of the villages or
are listening to the old stories told near a wood fire.

Inside, everyone is activating quite naturally to give a festive air to
the household. Mommies are preparing our traditionnal and
delicious small cakes called "bredeles"
and "berawecka". The gardens and frontages of the
family houses are illuminated with thousand colorful decorations. Behind the windows we see the
children decorating the Christmas tree while singing some old
"pastorales". The candles of the Advent wreath illuminate the interiors where it is so good to
be found all together.

time is well back !
